A recording of the now infamous "Hold your wee for a Wii" contest on Sacramento's KDND radio station was released on youtube.(As you can see the video has been up since the 17th but has not seemed to gain much recognition yet.)For those of you who are not familiar with the incident,28 year old Jennifer Lea Strange Died shortly after consuming over 7 quarts of water and holding her urine in attempt to win a nintendo Wii console for her children.During the newly released excerpts,Radio station Djs and employees seem to be very nonchalant about the dangers of this contest and continue to laugh about them.
Here are some quotes from the recordings that you might find interesting:
Woman Dj:"Can't You get water poisoning and like die?"
Response from male Dj:"Your Body is 98 percent water,why cant you take in as much water as you want?"
It's a shame that something was not done about this earlier,before these Idiots were given permission to do this.
98 percent water?!!!?!On average our bodies weight consists of about 60 percent water...It is great to see what kind of minds were behind this stunt.
Soon after that the female dj replies with:"Maybe we should of researched this more"
Here is what I turned up after a simple google search for "Water Poisoning":
The fact that water can cause fatal overdoses is not well known. Often called "water intoxication" or "hyponatremia" (low salt)1, water poisoning results when too much water is ingested in too short a time without replenishing electrolytes, particularly sodium and potassium.

I do think that Jennifer herself should of researched this thoroughly before taking place in a contest of this nature...
But,the fact of the matter is,KDND should not of ever let such a stunt continue if they knew the apparent risks involved.
But as you have already saw,no such research was performed.Not even a simple google search.
It is a shame what happened here to Strange.It is even worse that her 3 children will have to go on without a mother.
I think KDND should be held Fully responsible for Strange's death because there seemed to be NO medical personnel on site,and after countless times of her repeating her symptoms she was laughed at,and ignored.Not because the Djs didn't care,but because they did not know.

| Geraldo on LaFave:Straight out of line |
I just finished watching tonights episode of "Hannity's America" on the Fox news network in which Hannity had Geraldo Rivera in the hotseat.
Geraldo was speaking on behalf of the Debbie LaFave case,and if I do say so myself,He was way out of line.
Geraldo pushed the idea that somehow Debbie LaFave should be exempt to her charges because as he stated,it is different when a woman has sex with a young boy,rather than when a 30 year old gym teacher has sex with a young girl.
I do agree that the way a teenage boy would handle such a situation would be different than the way a young girl would.I would say,due to the alpha perspective of the male pysche,it is a reasonable conclusion to say a man would "brag" to his friends about such an act.Being a guy I can honestly say that in that situation,at that age,I probably would of never said a word.It isn't exactly your everyday occurence to have an attractive teacher at your disposal.At least not when you're 13 years old.
Being a young boy once himself,I believe that Rivera let that mindstate win him over....which is completely irresponsible,especially considering that he himself is the father of several children.
I Believe that we as adults have a responsibility to children,to seek justice for them,to protect them,to guide them.
It disgusts me that Geraldo Rivera could say things so childish on national television,especially if there were children watching somewhere.
In My opinion,Debbie LaFave is a child predator,as is any other adult that solicits sex through under-aged minors.I also think that this woman was obviously troubled and in need of some serious mental evaluation.
Now as I said Before,I understand how Rivera felt about the boy...But to really think about this woman,how troubled she must of been to have partaken in such a relationship,and even to continue to write letters to this boy in prison.
To me the bottom line is,boy or girl,it does not matter.
If an adult is troubled enough to have sex with small children,that adult should be charged as any other.There should be no bias and zero tolerance in such crimes....
C'mon people,these are children.

| My message to Apple |
A record producer once said to Johnny cash:

You tellin' me that's the song you'd sing?"
Now I'm not writing a song here,but just trying to make a point.If I was hit by a truck,and I had time for one message to apple to sum up my feelings toward the new 5.5 gen Ipods it would be.....
WTF is up with these god*mn earbuds!?!?!
Out of all the advances of modern man...
Out of all of the patented software and hardware this company has created..
They still Can't seem to grasp the easiest of concepts.
And If these earbuds really were modeled after someones ears..
I want to know who!
Who the hell are these freaks of nature they have down at apple with ears the size of volkswagens?
I saw a commercial for a partnership between Ipod and nike...where the new ipods actually count how many miles you are running.Ok thats great and all,but how the hell are you going to jog with hockey pucks in your ears?
I can barely manage to keep two of them in at one time.....
